The American Heritage Dictionary tells us this is "the enlarged, fleshy, usually red floral cup that is used for jelly or tea." I'm ashamed to admit that I use a brown and white coffee cup for my tea.

I was always fond of those little lychee-flavored jellies that came in plastic cups, but they're a lot harder for me to find now. I also like nata de coco in my bubble tea.
